MANGOAL, the OEM Dash Cam Specialist, Brings Factory-Fit Dash Cams to Over 90% of Mainstream Vehicle Models

PR Newswire

Backed by 900+ custom vehicle molds, vehicle-focused engineering and hidden-wiring solutions, MANGOAL brings factory-fit dash cam integration to over 90% of mainstream vehicle models—giving more drivers an alternative to traditional universal dash cams.

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Since its launch in 2022, MANGOAL has built its product development around a simple idea: a dash cam should provide reliable driving protection while fitting naturally into the vehicle itself.

MANGOAL, the OEM Dash Cam Specialist, offers custom-fit solutions for over 90% of mainstream vehicles. Integrated engineering for a true factory look.

Most drivers install a dash cam for one simple reason: peace of mind. What they do not necessarily want is another device hanging from the windshield, visible power cables running through the cabin, or an aftermarket setup that feels out of place in the vehicle.

Since its launch in 2022, MANGOAL has focused on developing vehicle-specific recording systems around the car itself. As an OEM dash cam specialist, the brand designs housings, power solutions and installation structures to integrate naturally into the original rearview mirror area.

To date, MANGOAL has developed more than 900 custom vehicle molds, enabling fitment across over 90% of mainstream vehicle models. Alongside this expansion in vehicle coverage, MANGOAL has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide.

Built Around the Vehicle

Vehicle-specific development starts with understanding how each vehicle is built. MANGOAL’s engineering team studies the original rearview mirror housing, interior structure, available power connections and installation space before developing a dedicated solution.

On compatible vehicles, the MANGOAL housing replaces or integrates with the original rearview mirror trim, while a vehicle-matched harness connects within the mirror or sensor area. The result is a compact installation designed to reduce visible wiring and preserve the original appearance of the cabin.

Vehicle-Specific Engineering in Practice

The details of that engineering vary from vehicle to vehicle. For the Ford Maverick, MANGOAL developed a dedicated power solution around the original mirror area, supporting a plug-and-play installation with minimal additional cable routing. On the Ford F-150, the compact camera structure and concealed wiring are designed to keep the mirror area clean after installation.

For the Subaru BRZ, MANGOAL developed the camera structure and hidden power solution around the vehicle application. On the Toyota Land Cruiser, the product focuses on straightforward installation, integrated wiring and hardware designed for long-term everyday use.

For the Lexus GX, MANGOAL developed the main housing and rear cover together around the original vehicle structure, with attention to panel alignment, fit and overall visual integration. These examples reflect the same development philosophy applied across MANGOAL’s growing vehicle portfolio: the final product should feel considered for the car it is installed in.

“If someone spends tens of thousands of dollars on a car, they should not have to make the interior look worse just to add a dash cam,” said Leo Wang, Founder of MANGOAL. “We want the camera to feel like part of the vehicle. Once it is installed, it should fit naturally into the interior and simply be there when the driver needs it.”

More Than a Factory-Fit Appearance

For MANGOAL, OEM-style integration extends beyond the exterior housing. The company also focuses on the internal structure, imaging system and long-term stability of the product.

MANGOAL uses aluminum-alloy internal structures to support thermal management and FPC-based internal connections for compact, stable signal transmission. Upgraded configurations feature Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors and 4K recording with High Dynamic Range (HDR), designed to capture greater detail in challenging conditions such as nighttime driving, tunnels, strong headlights and rapidly changing light.

Depending on the vehicle and configuration, MANGOAL offers front-only and dual-channel systems, including models with 4K front and 2K rear recording. GPS functionality supports driving information such as speed, location and route history, with supported software allowing users to review video together with trip data.

Built on Vehicle-Specific Engineering

MANGOAL’s vehicle-specific development is backed by more than a decade of automotive electronics research, development and manufacturing experience through Honglianda Technology. Before the MANGOAL brand was established in 2022, the team had already begun developing vehicle-integrated recording systems.

Before its consumer launch, the team spent more than two years refining and validating areas including hardware structure, thermal management, imaging, software and overall system stability. That engineering approach continues to shape the development of new vehicle applications today.

Behind each application is MANGOAL’s in-house manufacturing and quality-control process. Every unit undergoes physical inspection and a mandatory 8-hour aging test before shipment, along with additional production and performance checks. MANGOAL has also obtained more than 10 international certifications as well as national and regional high-tech enterprise recognitions.

“Our focus has stayed the same: how can the dash cam fit the car better?” Wang added. “There are always new vehicles coming to market, and our job is to keep developing solutions that belong in them.”

September 15: MANGOAL Brand Day

September 15 marks MANGOAL’s fourth anniversary and the launch of MANGOAL Brand Day, an annual moment to celebrate the drivers and vehicle communities that have helped shape the brand. Beginning in 2026, the date will serve as a recurring occasion for MANGOAL to connect with owners, share product and community stories, and look ahead to the next stage of vehicle-specific development.

During this year’s MANGOAL Brand Day, the company will introduce a series of anniversary activities and special offers across its official channels. Details will be announced through MANGOAL’s website and social media channels.
